Mnm...hard to find a disparaging word about the rocket 3 and believe me I looked...

My neighbor literally gave me his Triumph Tiger 900 two years ago when he couldn't figure out how to get it back together. I'll say one thing for Triumph...they're still the same piece of engineering garbage they were 30 years ago when I had my Trident. That was a fun bike to ride I'll give you that, with a great sounding engine, but Heaven help the poor hapless soul who has to work on them. I might ride one but in my heart I'll always know that giving it back was the smartest move...ever!

If my buddy will ever get off his ass and mount the carbs on his CBX 1000 I'll at least get a chance to ride a rocket ship before I die. But, I've always been a cruiser guy for as long as I can remember and if it never happens I'll still be happy with stretch of open road and a big twin under my butt.

This will be my third Liner, so I have some experience with that aspect of them. Imagine if you will that locomotive in Back to the Future where they stuff super fuel pellets into the boiler and as each one kicks in that massive train accelerates instantly. That's the closest I can come to describing the feeling of what it's like twist the throttle on one of these things. You are literally hanging on to a freight train that can pull your arms right out of their sockets. Fun...oh yeah!

Congrats! Ride it like you stole it, cause you certainly did! Karma doesn't always have to be bad. Love the color.

Yeah I'm thinking this Roadliner is all mine! With less than 15k on the clock it would last me the rest of my life.

Yeah typically a bike at that price would have 50+ thousand miles or has a branded title. To find one in such good shape in the right place is pure luck.

No, like every deal I've made on Cl I'm thousands of miles away buying these things sight unseen...or undriven as the case may be.

Great deal....I've seen 06 for 3800 but had more miles. 1900 motor IS MUCH stronger than our 1600/1700 motors!

Picked up a new ride today

You know every once in a while shit just rolls your way and you walk away with a deal. Here's a pic of my new to me ride that I just bought this morning. It's an all stock 07 Roadliner with new tires, battery and recent service checkup and only 14,000 miles on the clock for the measly sum of $3,800 bucks...yep sometimes Karma smiles on you.
