from Solon, IA. What have you done so far to troubleshoot? Do the gauges sweep when the key is turned on? Your profile says year 2000 1600 so the headlamp should come on with the key. Is it nice and bright/strong?

Check the fuel pump fuse and clean the contacts on the switch. They are 2 separate issues unless you have a ground wire common to both. You will have to look at the wiring diagram to see.

I replaced fuel pump with aftermarket .run pump directly to battery ...fine now no power to my coils and start button want work no

I know this sound like a silly question to ask...but have you checked the kill/stop switch on the right handlebar? If it's off (or switch contact issue) you will not get any start function and the pump won't run.

I’m sure you check the button to make sure it was in the wrong position, but did you check to see if the switch was working? If the kill switch has gone bad, your bike won’t start. It could just be dirty contacts that need cleaning.
