This is one of my many projects. It actually wasn't supposed to be a project bike. I pulled it apart for paint and it took longer than expected. Once it was finished and reassembled the bike would barely run. We discovered the enricher cover had exploded and now we are fighting carb demons. bike idles like a champ but if you crack the throttle it will stumble and sputter. if you ease into the throttle it will sputter but recover and rev with no issue. Any help is much appreciated!!!

sounds like the accelerator pump is not squirting properly. look into the mouth of the carb and twist the throttle, there should be a steady stream of fuel coming from the brass tube as soon as you start to twist and continue thru to about 1/2 throttle or so. If the bike sat for very long it is probably gummed up and may need a good soaking in carb cleaner. A;so contact "Lugnut" on here, he sells some real nice aluminum enricher covers that will never need to be replaced like the OEM plastic ones.

I can get you a new aluminum cover to replace a plastic one. However you want to make sure that you didn't lose the spring that pushes against the diaphragm underneath the cover. Prob gonna need to soak that carb and he'll get all circuits/passages totally cleaned out. Looks like stock airbox and exhaust so should have all stock jetting and internal carb parts.
