Runs perfect. Pulls hard very fast that two into one pipe makes power. Think I have a guy local that wants it.

Cut down petcock tube 3/4 in. cleaned petcock and screens

Installed 172.5 main jet, 40 pilot jet, 3mm needle valve, set float height 5mm above seam, cleaned carb, removed inlet screen on elbow, Barons adjustable needle clip on 4th grove with on washer above and white spacer and washer below. Replaced bowl screws with Allen head bolts, replaced plastic enricher cover with aluminum.

    Vented gas cap

Blew out rollover valve with compressed air

5/16 fuel injection hose from carb to petcock with inline filter
3/8 fuel hose reroute pcv under bike

Capped nipple on intake manifold/AIS removed. Inspected intake manifold no cracks

    Cleaned K&N filter

    New NGK 5129 plugs gapped @ .035

    Contact cleaner all electrical connections

Emptied out all old gas and inspected tank (rust free)

Removed fuel pump/bracket/assembly and hard line going to carb

Got it back together...smooth as butter...rides out perfect. Now change oil/filter and transfer case fluid...flush brake fluid...check pulley nut/wheel alignment/belt tension and a through wash and lube and ready to sell...

Garage pics. Hopefully test ride it today and change oil/filter and transfer case fluid and then this week inspect pulley nut, belt tension, wheel alignment and probably flush the brake fluid....then a deep clean and put up for sale.

....unrelated topic....anyone looking for a 2006 Road Star in great mechanical condition for $3650?? LOL

Took tank off and carve off. Plugs very black and sooty... intake manifold looks fine no cracks at all. Tank clean. Carb jutted incorrectly PMS out way too far float was a little off. But it did have the Barons adjustable needle but the clip was on the third groove and the main jet was a 175 instead of a 172.5. But it did have the 40 pilot. I have extra jets here so I got all this done yesterday and then hopefully will finish it up today and ride it out a little bit. The new fuel pump that was on there was an aftermarket one-off eBay and it vibrated and made more noise and you could imagine. I was going to leave the fuel pump assembly on but did not want to buy a new OEM fuel pump and had an extra 3 mm needle valve here so went full pumpless. being a 1700 with the 4750 rev limit and this two into one pipe and the open air cleaner with the jetted carb this thing should be a real running beast.

Removed fuel pump/bracket/assembly and hard line going to carb But this time I did leave the motor mount stay lol

Through a battery pack on the bike and it fired up. Needs to have choke on to run but it runs very well Sounds perfect engine sounds quiet and nice. Definitely going to pull the carb and replace it with a takeoff carburetor from an '06 I have on the shelf. After I go through it jet it etc. Should be ready for the road as soon as I get a day to work on it. Very happy it starts and runs and sounds so nice.

I have seven of my 10 insured plated and licensed. I go through progressive have full coverage with only 250 deductible. All kinds of extra insurance on the bikes and on my phone and gear etc and it's about $400 a year total for all 7. The two 1979 XS 1100s and my purple 2000 Road Star And the newest one don't have insurance but the black 79XS does have antique vintage plate because it's like $20 a year

I'm not aware of any limitation of vine and selling motorcycles in Indiana. I simply have a motor vehicle with a title that I sell privately. No agencies involved

How many motorcycles can you sell in a year in Indiana?
There are no limitations or requirements for the number of motorcycles that you sell in a calendar year. However, you must have a motorcycle wholesaler license if you attempt to sell more than five motorcycles in a calendar year.

Oh, good score by the way. Call you the Yamaha-Wisperer... lol
$14.95 a day for u haul motorcycle trailer ...light easy to tow and readily available ...can't beat it. I will likely never buy a trailer when I can rent them $15 a day and never have to store or maintain one....
