  • Went to the "Dark side".....Harley Enforcer Wheel

Picked up my new bike mod today. Got an Enforcer front wheel. I have always said I would never get rid of the white walls, BUT after seeing a few pictures of the Enforcer wheel on a roadstar I just had to do it. It's an easy swap. I ordered a new Commander II from Dennis Kirk at $138 to my door for the rear and got my white 888 swapped out. So, since im no longer running wide whites, im going to say I'm on the "Dark" side....lol. I'll never actually run a car tire.....

I will add that for anybody thinking of a wheel swap, Smokescreens wheel spacer/adapters are top notch quality. Very easy to use and makes the swap a cinch!!

Looks Sweet. I about to do the same swap. Did you have to raise your fender all?

No, it's a 19" wheel and actually seems to be the same overall diameter as the stocker or pretty close.

What did you do about the rotor?

Found a new in box rotor from a guy local that collects parts. Made me a decent deal.

So is it the stock Harley rotor?

Yes, but it has to be the rotor meant for the Enforcer wheel. Not just any standard Harley rotor. But it is just the stock Harley enforcer rotor.

Wow that was fast. Glad everything worked out that easy. Does it ride any different with the bigger tire?

I put it up side by side with the stock wheel and there's hardly a height difference. Just slightly narrower so it seems to turn in better, or more eagerly.

I only got a brief spin and it seems the same, with the exception of a little more eagerness to turn in since the wheel is skinnier by a hair. The overall height seems to be the same but I am thinking the ride may firm up a bit with a shorter stiffer sidewall.

I really like the looks of those rims. Would you know if the 1300 V-Star mags work on our RS? Been wanting to go with mags, but been on a tight budget.

I've got both, a 07 Roadstar and a 07 Vstar 1300 with mags. i can check to see if there's any difference, but the Roadstar is buried in my back shed, so it may be a few days before I can check and compare.

Duke, let me know if you want me to check this for you.

If no one else knows here on the form, I'd really appreciate finding out if those rims would work on our Road Stars. Back rim on the 1300s are 4, 1/2" wide x 16". Fronts are the same size as the RS. Thank you, Duke.

Looks good. The enforcer wheel follows the fender line so well on the road stars.

I like the look a lot... however, the marks on your rotors seem to indicate that the pads are NOT wear-mated to the rotors, and are giving you an uneven scoring. If the rotors are new, and the pads aren't... swap 'em out right away for new smooth pads. If I'm totally mistaken, let me know gently please, but that's what your pics seem to indicate.

Nice wheels! I have the adapters I got from Brian Veney and waiting to do the same on my bike. Again looks pretty sharp on your bike!

Always loved the look of your bike and that just adds to it! Does it still have the stock R* rear?

Thank you. And yes it does. With the bags lowered, you can't really tell that it's a different wheel.

I would like to do this mod. Where did you score the wheel?

I bought the package from Dave, here on the forum. He had the complete setup including Smokescreens spacer/adapters. Otherwise, watch Craigslist as they pop up there.

Im not sure if he still has it but YZ18 had an Enforcer wheel too for sale not long ago.

Yz18 sold them i think. You can lookbat swap meets and ebay as well. You could get the wheel with rotors for the $200 range here is one ending in 14hours
