Cool beans! I got a ways to go and it will take me a lifetime to get there at my current rate. That’s one of the reasons I bought a R*; I figured that even though I’m young I’d never have to buy another bike if I didn’t want to.

Not yet Duke. Been riding. Got the green bike down right now for spark plugs. Adjusted the drive belt as it was driving me nuts with the squeaking on decel. Checked the frame after a hard hit. What tire would be an inch or so taller than stock?

                      Isn’t a 140 rear tire taller?

I’ll have to check on the 140. Don’t want skinner just taller. Maybe make up for the weight we put on it. Get back to just scraping floorboards and not frames

A 160/80 will work Mike. I ran that size of tire for about 5 years. It's taller and a little wider and will fit in the fender.

The last time I saw Erbman (Neil) was just before he moved from Commerce, Ga. to Tampa, Fl. I believe that was in 2010.
New tires & spark plugs, oil & filter change on his '01 R/S. His scooter had 126K miles on it & the rocker boxes (or any other covers) had never been off the motor.

I did have the valves adjusted around 50000. Waste of money. At least it didnt screw anything up

Congratulations! That’s a milestone I really hope my bike will make. Any tips / advice regarding your maintenance schedule? You mentioned that you felt the valve adjustment wasn’t worth it?

There is no Valve adjustments on our bike, it's a rocker arm adjustment to make sure the rocker fingers are pushing both valves at the same time. I beleave the book calls it valve adjustment.

Yes, I had that done at the shop thinking my valves were loud, It didn't change anything run wise or sound wise. Although I replaced plugs yesterday after 60000 miles, They looked fine but the new ones run much better.

Oh, on maintenance schedule. I change oil every winter and run what these guys recommend. Run seafoam in gas on occasion, change middle drive gear oil every 50,000 or so, change plugs every 50,000 or so, try not to overload the electrical system as my bike is a '99 and ride the devil out of it.

Mike, do you have a Roadwing on that bike? What tire pressure do you run two up?

I do have a roadwing and run 38/40 psi two up. I did crack the frame but hammered it back and welded it. Hoping a taller rear tire might keep the back of the bike up a little bit. When I'm solo it o.k. but I don't ride that bike solo. I was thinking maybe weld the white bike before its broke and make it the two up bike and solo the green bike.

Mike, another option would be to use shorter dog bones on your shock relay. You could either cut a piece out and reweld or install some of the adjustable dog bones to raise the rear.

Yes, longer lowers and shorter raises. I wonder if someone here has a pair to sell.
