Relocating to Vegas

Well finally going to make the move from California, and non to soon. Was offered a job in Vegas and will be heading there within the next month.

Was looking to get a heads up on some decent areas to look for a houses to rent for awhile till I get planted. Wouldn't mind getting a contract or two to maybe show me some riding areas out there also.

Any help would be appreciated.

Can't help with any contacts but good luck with the move. Vegas has grown so much, and you'll find housing / rental prices so much better compared to CA. Smart move.

Not much nearby just flat desert the biggest thing there besides the gambling is Lake Powell. Any housing near the lake is extra $$$. It is an awesome lake. If you ride down into Northern Arizona you'll find some interesting riding.

There are a few interesting rides around the area. I have lived here since 1994 so I know the area pretty well but I am always finding out about places I have never been. I live in the far NW right now but have lived in just about every area of town. What area will you be working in? That will make a big difference in where you want to look for housing. Never cross the strip or use the spaghetti bowl during rush hour if you don't have to. The 15 and the east side of the 95 are NOT bike friendly. The 215 is pretty decent for riders and especially the 215 north of Rainbow all the way around to Nellis. I ride every day in Vegas and work all over so I take different roads all the time but I still hate surface streets and stick to the highways as much as possible. Thanks for the heads up. I'm going to be working over near the airport, but being from the traffic capital of the world a little traffic won't hurt. I don't plan on riding the bike into work every day, so not worried about that. Mainly just don't want to live in some crap hole neighborhood.

If and when I get settled, I'll definitely hit you up for some riding.
