Bubba did you read all of your link you posted? Here is a clip at the end...
The incident referenced in this article is of course not something that recently took place in the Boston area, but rather a recasting of a centuries-old event that is widely regarded as marking the beginning of the American Revolutionary War: the military clashes at Lexington and Concord which took place between British troops (commonly known as “redcoats” or “regulars”) and Massachusetts militia (commonly known as “Minutemen”) on April 18-19 in 1775.

The “National Guard” troops in this encounter were British soldiers, the “paramilitary extremist faction” was rebellious colonials, Thomas Gage was the military governor of Massachusetts and the commander-in-chief of British forces who had been sent to occupy Boston in response to the Boston Tea Party and other colonial acts of protest, and the “law enforcement” group was British troops dispatched to Concord (about 26 miles northwest of Boston) on the night of April 18 in order to destroy military supplies that were reportedly being stored there by colonial rebels.

The colonists learned of the British plans in advance, and William Dawes, Paul Revere, and others famously spread an alarm throughout the area that night warning that British regulars were about to embark in boats from Boston bound for Cambridge and the road to Lexington and Concord. Those early warnings allowed colonial militia to assemble in sufficient numbers to surprise the British troops at Lexington and confront them again at Concord. Those two skirmishes, as well as additional attacks on the British troops as they returned to Boston, left 72 redcoats dead. The colonial militia continued to grow as neighboring colonies sent additional men and supplies, and eventually formed the beginning of the Continental Army that would contest the British in the Revolutionary War.

This article is therefore not a contemporary news report, but rather a form of satire that seeks to criticize modern calls for additional gun ownership restrictions such as bans on “assault weapons” and the potential for stripping citizens of weapons they might need to protect themselves against government depredations.

Since the advent of shall issue in regards to CCW permits person on person crime has went down. Now a robber has to decide if it is worth a strong arm robbery if his victim has a higher likelihood of having a CCW. I can see the need for having a permit to carry concealed but I really don't like having to ask our Gov't masters for that permission. We also need to get gun safety back in the schools. I personally feel every single child should be required to take a gun safety course, know how to handle a weapon (and how not to) but it goes against the indoctrination our kids are getting by the far left leaning educational/political system. They can't force socialism down our throats if we are still allowed to own guns, which has been proven time and time again throughout history.

Bubba, While agree with you. The issue that I have with the "mental Health" order that President Obama implemented and President Trump vacated, was that it took away someone Constitutional Rights with out due process. A simple paper pusher at the VA was allowed to make the decision to take those rights with out a hearing.

For example, I have PTSD and a multitude of other thing wrong with me form the military. Bad knees, hearing loss, ect. However, when I got rated 70% from adding my hearing loss, the VA attempted to mark me "incompetent to handle my finances" It appears simply due to the fact I had PTSD but also that I hit 70%. My docs all wrote letters arguing the fact that I was completely sane and competent. Had the VA rating office ignored those letters which they can, I would have lost my rights to bear arms. Now I would still have been able to vote, be able to practice religion and protest and keep those rights.

I often wonder if people would be OK with the same restrictions that they want to have on the 2ND to be forced on the 1st or in fact any of the other amendments.

Remember, the dude that shot up the Waffle House in TN had been in and out of mental hospitals, yet he was still allowed to own firearms because of his "second amendment rights: Now a bunch of people are dead because of that. Vacating that law was stupid.

Where is the change for making it easier for mentally ill people getting gun? I have not seen nor heard of this and i can only imagine the media would be all over it. If this is true i would stand right next to you on this.

However i must ask (and may read like im a arse hat but not my intent) what is the rifle whose sole use is killing a soldier? I have never heard of a firearm like this. Any rifle the military uses has a great advantage on a battlefield sure but it cant possibly not have another use.

And if you are fighting mentally ill getting a gun then why even bring up hi capacity mags?

        It's a Hungarian SKS that spits 7.62x38.
Way too heavy to carry around hunting (yet the Eastern Bloc armies did), virtually zero recoil and accurate much farther out than I'd want to carry a deer.
It's illegal to fix the bayonet to it so I just show the poker to the gun once in a while.

Sorry Bubba, I have to disagree. An SKS is really not that powerful of a round. Yes it is a light recoil rifle since it is gas opreated. But it is not a long range round.

The original M-16, the SKS, the AK-47, etc were all built with one purpose in mind, to kill other people on the battlefield. I'm pretty sure that's what Bubba meant when he said his SKS was built with the sole purpose of killing people.

The new murder weapon of our time is Fentanyl, Drugs are laced with it to commit murder and it is documented by law enforcement and coroner as an accidental overdose.

also a little clarity for myself on the Illinois. buying a gun across state lines is illegal. the only legal way to do it is that ffl ships to one in your home state. if i owned a gun shop and you came into my store without my state on your i.d. i would not sell to you. is that what you were saying or were you implying that people legally go to indiana and buy a gun and come back across the boarder?

i really hope your not talking about the "gun show loop hole" Obama was crying about on TV. cause thats just incorrect on many levels.

foul language is used in this video.

I wouldn't call the gunshow loophole incorrect. At least here in Wisconsin, I can walk into a gun show and buy a gun thru a private sale without even telling the seller my name. He doesn't know who I am, where I live, or whether or not I'm a felon who can't legally own a gun. All he knows and cars is I'm just some dude who walked into the gun show with money and gave said money to him for one of his guns.

What Shores just said. There were so many warnings about this most recent guy, it isn’t even funny. Sandy Hook was wide open, despite the admins thinking how safe they were.

When the mindset in schools is steered more towards actual protection of students and teachers and not a lot of mindless psychobabble about who really needs what kind of gun and how many rounds, we’ll be making progress.

We've had 2 decades since the first major school shooting, and they could have started with controlled access in and out. and that would have went a long way to prevent them in the following years. That is still barely happening.

If the answer is 'to keep the government in check", you'll also need you own hundreds of armored fighting vehicles and aircraft and about a million personnel to use them.
They'll pound any 'armed resistance' so far into the ground they won't even find DNA in the hole, and they'll do it from 5 miles above.
I don't know why so many people bring it down to resistance or self defense.

Talk to everyone you know, have they shot their gun for hunting/sport, or self defense?
                    What is the ratio?

The reason you have 30 round mags is because loading magazines sucks, not because you have 30 people coming at you.
Go out shooting with a single shot of anything and see how long you stay out. No one wants to spend more time loading than shooting.

What the left-leaning media is most definitely choosing to ignore, (or their so-called investigative reporters were too lazy to research) is that there is a plethora of gun laws already on the books that are not being enforced, especially by the Democratic administrations.
Also, authorities are franticly trying to hide the numerous warning signs just about all the mass shooters have exhibited and their failure to act on the warnings.
Another thing that is deliberately being swept under the rug is the fact that in almost all the shootings, they were conducted in official "Gun-Free Zones" ( or more properly, 'target rich environment') . None of these shooters expected to be shot at, themselves (and don't you think it a bit suspicious that so many of them died from 'self-inflicted' gunshots?).
Our media is ultimately owned by a few mega-millionaires whose prime goal is to gain control of the economies, and therefore governments of the so-called free world, so don't expect to hear/see the truth about the second amendment and constitutional rights.

IMHO, it's not about gun control but about control in general. It is a by product of the mind set in previous generations. If you grow up being told that guns are evil, you will see guns as evil. I grew up around guns. I was told at an early age to respect and be safe when handling guns. In 1959 I went for the required hunter safety course, of all places, in Brooklyn ,NY. I had no means of transportation other than the subway system and since I lived in Queens and I had to provide the rifle and ammo for the practical test, I boarded the subway with my 22 rifle in a case that clearly showed I had a rifle in it. No one in the subway car had any negative reaction to it.
In 1961 I purchased a 12 ha. shotgun from Macy's department store in the middle of NYC. Macy's had a complete department that sold rifles, shotguns and ammo. Again, I transported my new shotgun in a case in th subway. So, as I said. before it is the mind set on this liberal generation that they want to run everyone's life.
BTW, that hunter safety course was at the YMCA in Bedford Stuyvesant in Brooklyn.
I will not apologize for being white, being straight or for loving this country.

Try that nowadays. I bought a new glock from bass pro a few months ago. It was attacted to a mall and i wanted to take my kids out to eat at a resturant in said mall. I had to either leave my firearm at bass pro or take it to my car before entering the mall. I cant say i blame people for being affraid of something but i can say i blame them for being brain washed into being affraid of something. I feel its the agenda plan anyway. Report on what we want to get rid of. Make it seem super scary and feed a bunch of miss information to the masses. That way we brain wash people into giving up their right to (insert whatever here) in a emotional tizzy. Its a lot easier to trick people into doing what they want then most people realize. Its called manipulatuon and has worked as long as time.

Giving something to our government is quick and easy.

Getting it back is almost impossible.
