The doctors say I have stage 4 lung cancer. They say one year without treatment. They say maybe 2-5 with treatment. I covet all the prayers I can get.

"All things work together for the good for those who love God and are called according to His Purpose." (Romans 8:28) Over my lifetime I've seen a lot of otherwise 'bad' things happen in my life, and those of others, which ended up having a very positive outcome, or effect on things I'd never have suspected.

"We are to walk in faith, not by sight."

"His ways are not our ways."

We are to believe that things are to happen for a reason. It might be to receive total healing and setting an example for others to see. Others may be to slap us on the side of the face and prod us to change the focus and direction of our lives. Others may be to simply let go and treasure our remaining days, long or short. I've faced and experienced all of these things myself. I have no expectations of a long life. Rather, I consider each day a blessing, and if those days continue long into the future, then so be it.

Thanks so much for reaching out and sharing this with us. Many of us are, or have been. in similar situations, even now.

I often ask people, "If you were God, what would you be capable of doing?" The Creator of the universe can easily reverse any infirmity that any of us may experience. He wrote the code, He can tweak it any way He pleases, including healing any of us of anything we may encounter.

I pray total healing for your body, and that God may receive the glory that you and others may behold! I also pray that He may instill the peace that passes all understanding as you endure this trial in your life. Let go, and let God!

Prayers sent. I never believed in the power of Prayer until it worked for (and is still working for) me. I was given 2-3 years tops in Y2K with COPD. I take meds but there is no treatment. .
