College football playoffs today (Saturday, the 31st), in case you forgot.

Anyone planning to escape the homestead tonight? I'm still flying solo, with Anne stuck in California due to the SW Airlines fiasco, so I'm still thinking about it all. More than an hour drive each way if I want to head anywhere people can be found, but the weather is somewhat cooperating so that's a possibility.

You all have fun, and keep it a little bit on the sane side!

I have a gun shy dog, so every News Year's eve and 4th of July I get to spend that evening with a 50 pound Australian Blue Heeler trying to wedge itself up my ass.

My Rott has gotten used to knowing what's going on, and understands the word 'fireworks', but she'll bark when she hears them going off nonetheless and she's in no hurry to set her head outside the door. At 90 lbs., she spent much of the evening on my lap in my lazy boy.

Well Saturday at about 4:30 I took Elvira for her last ride of the year, and today we ride again today for the first of the year.
