I have a message into them about the App.
I looked for it on Google Playstore last night & it's wasn't there (yet).

They might have to build it off a basic Mobile App shell they already have.
I'll post as soon as I hear back ...

OK, we've got the 'forum part' of the RSC Mobile App paid for.
I haven't got to the Android store yet but Apple wants $99/year to put the app in their store.
Everybody wants their fingers in the pie ...

This will automatically renew every year to stay on the Apple store.

Once I reach the goal, I'll apply any additional funds to the Android store costs (whatever they may be).
If there is anything extra I'll move it to the forum account at Rock River to pay for future subscription costs.

There will be both Android & Apple apps.
I need to setup the publisher account with both (doing that now, it takes a while).
Once I get it setup you'll all be the first to know.

Since I've stopped the fund raising for the Apps for the time being & removed the PP link, there is still money in that account tagged for the Apps.

Would it be Okay with those of you who have contributed to that fund if I move that money to the RSC Archive fund?

If you'd rather I not, let me know via PM the PP you sent fund from & I'll return the money you sent.
Or it can sit there until we revisit the Apps.
I'm just attempting to put out one fire at a time.

With the time crunch on for the old site shutdown I'd rather focus on that right now, then come back to the Apps after this site is safely archived.

Because it requires a 3rd party plugin to work. Since we're on a hosted service we can't install those for security reasons.

Now that archiving is out of the way, is there any news on the apps?

The archiving was finished last night.
I'll return to the Apps probably next week.
I still need to complete registration as a publisher, that takes time for approval.
Registration is an annual thing but there is money set aside for the first year in both stores.
The Apps will be available for both Apple & Android devices.

Thanks, it's a lot of time but that'll calm down as tasks are completed.
Most of the work was initial startup & setup & there's a little less every day.
