Yeah, I saw that too, when I looked it was 7 members and 268 guests.

      • #7
FYI- A lot of those "guests" are actually search bots for sites like Google, MSN, and Bing, etc. They "crawl" our site so that people can find us when they submit a query using their search engines.

Still, if even half are bots, that still leaves a 5:1 ratio of guests to members.

Too lazy to count them all, but it's considerably more than half.

If you're lurking, and worried that you won't fit in, just stop.

I'm here. If they let me in the door, y'all can be mayor or some such.

Comon already!! Shy is cute in a 13 year old girl at a piano recital, but this is a bike forum. Git-r-Done!!! Join dammit.

We'll let you know if your HD is not as wonderful as you first thought it would be.......... You want a Roadie, if this is you.

If you owned a Roadie, and mistakenly ate a damn hotdog at the HD dealers like Smokescreens did, and ended up with a brand new motor that Yamaha started making 18 years ago and now you have buyers remorse????.... Go ahead! Sell that sparkling new door stop and buy a good used Roadie, because after the beating you took to buy that shiny American made piece of ...uh?... history, a used Roadie will be all you can afford. If you own a Roadie and you're not a member, I can only wonder if`you still live with your Mom.

If you're living with your mom and reading this, ask her permission. I'm sure she'll let you join. Be nice though. Say something like "Hey Mom? Do you think I should join this Forum of guys who ride bikes and think their mom is better then any other mom?" The woman wants to be loved. She'll let you join. Be a Mother's son of.....a Mothers son, and join. It'll do you good.

Jeezus Mort!! Posting links to pretty bikes, and thinking that Mammas boys will join because of it???

It’s there. The Avatar. Well... it’s kinda there. I struggled to get more car and less driveway, but no satisfaction.

I’ll do better. I’ll try and do better. I may be able to do better... maybe.

Thanks, Mort. I was happy with the outcome. I’m curious to hear from LugNut regarding his new rig.

        Txulrich....

It’s not two wheels. There is no leaning. The first time the hack tire lifted off the ground in a right hand turn, it was interesting. Not in a panicked WTH way, but just an awareness of the “ no leaning” reality.
The third wheel adds a whole new dimension. It tends to want to push and pull the rig, depending on what the road is doing. It’s not as harmonious as just you and the bike. It’s almost like a constant muted struggle with the road, compared to being on two wheels.
I love the utility function, and have no plans to go back to two wheels with this particular bike. I can carry anything up to about 150#, or anything that’ll fit in the car. I actually bought the car, to help keep the miles off my truck. I was always running to the store for odds and ends to big to carry on a bike, but not worth using the truck.

I’ve never ridden a trike, so I really can’t compare the two.

Having both two wheelers and sidecar setups I know that with a tweaked out sidecar setup done right it will get you down the highway and byways almost as good as any two wheeler and you don't have to worry about putting your feet down or tipping over or catching a side peg on corners.... more should be riding sidecar setups... they rock!

Great vid Rodeimort! Man you're bike turned our *really* nice. It should have been offered as a factory model; Yamaha missed the boat on that one.
