Hi.
I've been reading this forum for a while and finally bought my own 04 Road Star Midnight.
I have a Royal Star Midnight Tour Deluxe which I also bought in winter-time and while it's a great bike, it isn't a V-twin with lots of torque. Its great and powerful V-4 is "busy" at highway cruising speeds (have to keep it in 4th as 5th is really an overdrive and with all the deer etc., around here I rarely open her up) and it has a typical Royal Star Wine. And a cruise control which I love.
Drove all day into the next Province (BC) stayed at my daughters place in Castlegar, then the following day she and I went to the village of Fauquier BC to look at the bike.
It's hard to bargain when the owner knows you've driven a day and a half just to look at the bike. Then of course I backed my trailer up to the front of his garage before I'd even looked at the bike, and the stupid grin on my face when I did get a look at the bike (it's like new) kind of let me down.
Anyway it's sitting in my garage now with several feet of snow outside, and I'm really happy with my purchase.
I'll load her on the trailer again soon, and take her for a new set of tires and an out of province inspection after which I can get her registered.
Peter
