I ride and I play music.
I'm retired.
We don't have the longest riding season but we have the best riding anywhere. Lot's of lakes,rivers,and streams. Lot's of hills and curves. Not much traffic.
I ride the state,county,and town roads @ 60 - 70 MPH.
I've been road riding since 1967.
My last Yamaha was my Stratoliner.
My stable right now is a 2009 Vulcan 2000LT and a 2014 Valkyrie.
I would like to replace my Vulcan with a Road Star Silverado with the hard bags. Maybe the leather bags if the deal is good.
The closest Road Star for sale is a 2004 with the leather bags and 11,000 miles. He wants $4800.
I'm considering the Road Star because it's lighter than the Vulcan.
I would want to LED the headlight and running lights.

im thinking the RS is carburated, your vulcan has EFI and water cooled, and low CG,and is atork monster. i have an 05 1500 kamasaki V classic as a tug for my sidecar rig. its a very respectable rig, and if I was in your pre dick a mint, i would not go to a RS unless it was EFI so u could play more and wrench less. and if your vulcan is sound id just hang on to it. you can still be here , we;ll have ya. the roadie is also a big machine. only 885 vs 775 pounds dressed. worth nothing: im old and have a T100 bonnie, a RS trike, and a sidecar for if the cant hold it up time comes , but im selling the trike, and probably the T100 cause i neglect them in favor of sidecar and RSs

The Vulcan is getting rusty and has 134,000 Smiles on it. I would like a lighter bike. The Vulcan 1700 Nomad is only a little lighter.
