Yamaha newb

Greeting wild stars!

Just bought my first Yamaha, 2001 Road Star 1600 and love it. It has 80k miles and is a great ride. I'm here to learn more about this model.
I previously owned some kawasaki vulcan 750, 900 custom and 1500 and currently own a honda nighthawk 650 in mad max style.

Haven't researched upgrades yet but i think the first thing will be windshield and then maybe upgraded clutch. I changed the clutch spring on my vulcan 88 and it seemed like it was 3 times more power so really interested in doing that to the roadie. Barnett?
Already bought a new intake manifold and looking to port it myself. Probably need a new air filter too.

From Puyallup washington. One of the best upgrades you can do is to the rear shock. Get a road wing which is a modified gold wing shock that fits our bikes. Smoke screens here modifies them as well as some members on facebook. Also an ultimate seat. Some folks like the ED seat also.
