Members Map - Found the 2015 Google Version

I found the 2015 Google Version..I was able to add myself so I’m assuming that it works…this will be my last attempt at it…
The Zee Map is non functional

I like this idea - I assume you want people to put themselves on your map? If so, you'd have to enable editing by other users, probably with a secured link or someshit.

Or, I am in Bozeman MT. Throw me on there.

Yeah..it came in handy once for me..I was in a bind and out of town a member came to help me out.
I didn’t see any function like that..I’m not real familiar with how it’s supposed to be setup

That's not the map we used to have. There were tons of pins all over the map we had on the old forum. I know I added myself as well as other people in the Washington and Oregon area but they don't show up on your map.

Can the map on the old forum be imported onto the new forum?

There is a reimport and merge function..if the old map is available..it could work..

To add yourself select the location icon ..drop on your city, enter your name, color of your location icon ..and save

I do not see a location icon.

Zoom in and click on your town or city on the map, gives you the icon but I can't seem to save it so it sticks lol.

Right below the search bar…left/right arrows..the little hand, next is the grayed out location icon..like I said I wasn’t sure this map was going to work..I used it as an example of what we had on the old forum.

Yea, well, no Google for me. Somebody please drag the old map back up here. Only thing with that is, there's probably many members on it that ain't around any more. That sucker was pretty full, and, might I add, EASILY NAVIGABLE.

Open Google Maps

1. Click on "Sign In" in the top right-hand corner and either sign in or create a google account

2. Above these instructions, click the 'Edit' button and icons will appear at the top of the map.

3. Use the arrows and the +/- bar on the map to zoom to your location

4. Click the blue balloon icon (next to the hand icon at thetop of the map) and drag the ballon to your location. Click into place

5. A box will appear. Please list your name in the title, and your contact details in the description (it would also be helpful if you added your forum name to help others identify you.)

6. Click 'OK' when you're done

7. Click 'Save' then 'Done' (Above these instructions where the 'Edit' button was)

I logged in with my Google account but I don't have an Edit button that I can see. You can drop a pin for me in Solon, Iowa if you want. It's between Iowa City and Cedar Rapids.

I am also logged into the map and no edit button in sight. I found where I could add a business or some other such but not just drop a pin. I think that you are going to be a busy guy if your are the only way to get a pin on the map. My location is Texarkana, Texas.

Yeah I can’t seem to get an editable map up that everyone can add themselves to make it user friendly..I’ve tried setting it up and it’s not working
If you save the map to your maps..it might work

Yes!! The old map lives! I wasn't able to get rid of my old marker, which just reads "pobasturd", but I was able to add a new one with "Father Pobasturd" assigned to it.

Did you guys have to sign up? It's now saying it's frozen and the max visits have happened so it needs to be assigned to a paid account?
