So, I was a member of RSC years ago, but sold my 03 roadie for a street glide. Though it was an upgrade but turned out to be a real pain in the back. A street glide was not as comfortable as the roadie. Don't get me wrong, I loved the glide and was tired of carbureted bikes. But I couldn't ride it for longer than an hour before 20 years of auto mechanic life reared its ugly head in my lower back. Ended up selling the glide to finance a Mac Tools franchise. After getting established, I wanted another bike. I was looking for a softail when I came upon Angel. A white 2012 roadie with fuel injection. 6500 miles. One owner. No damaged. Well maintained. And (are you ready to be jealous?) $4500, down from $7000 on Facebook marketplace. I call her Angel for a few reasons. Female owned, her name was Angela, she's white, like an angel, she flies like an angel, and the best passenger I've ever had was named Angelina. Lol. I'm thinking it's a good sign that this was meant to be because even in this coronavisus world we live in, it took 20 minutes of total time to get her into my name. 10 minutes at the title place and 10 minutes at the BMV.

Now, Angela kept Angel stock since new, but she needs a little noise, and a lot less catalyst caused heat. I know I'm going to be replacing the air filter with a Baron's kit like my 03. She will definitely be getting speakers. But, I'm having issues finding a good, inexpensive exhaust system (with O2 bungs) and 3.5 or 4 inch mufflers. Most of my issues are related to the actual information provided for the bung locations and finding info on RSC related directly to EFI and not Carb bikes. If anyone has a few good links to tech articles related to EFI bikes, that would be awesome of you. Thanks in advance.

To be honest, there's not a whole lot of tech articles on the FI bikes. To be honest, there isn't a lot of difference to their carb'd siblings.

As for exhaust, since you're in the tools trade I'm sure you know a few guys in muffler shops. The bung can be welded in if you should happen to find exhaust you like for the older models. There are also O2 sensor eliminators out there as well (although that wouldn't be my personal choice). Maybe if you describe what look and sound you're looking for someone here might be able to help you get a line on something. You can go as simple as Stage 1/2/3 on the stock exhaust up to $1K for true dual exhaust.

Read this entire link below and report back for the 250 question exam. Don't let anyone convince you to install an aftermarket fuel processor. You do not need it . The stock ECU will handle it just fine. I have the freedom designs 4-in true dual racing exhaust and love them. Jaybo has the freedom designs two into one combat exhaust which is awesome. I agree you could easily have threaded O2 bungs welded to any exhaust that didn't have them. I would suggest you just install them in the same location that they are installed on the stock headers. Also check this site for listings on the side burner two into one exhaust.

          First- welcome back!
I am planning on doing Freedom Duals on my ‘12.
I have looked at a few Cobras- mainly the 2:1 ; but decided ultimately I wanted duals since I have hard bags.
I also did the Barons- I did the XXX rather than the regular BAK.

I'm sitting here typing with my R* sitting outside, not being ridden because of my recurring back pain... I feel for you...
If all you want is a little extra "throat" from your pipes... I did a stage 1 mod to my factory pipes that modified the mufflers for just enough "extra" so as not to be obnoxious.
