  • Tire hugger front fender?

Has anyone done this type of fender on their Roadstar? Since my front fender trim piece came loose on my fender last summer and screwed the paint up I have been wondering what I could do to make it better looking without having to repaint. I saw the tire hugger style fender on a Victory Cross Country and liked the look and it kind of intrigued me. here is a pic of one:

      Nothing there that excites me.

Typically that type of fender would be found on a bike with a narrower front wheel (as pictured) Are you, or have you, switched to a different front wheel?

Yeah, I picked up a Harley Invader front 19" rim Thinking of going tire black paint to mimic a no fender front end.

Seams like the stock fender should be pretty tire hugging with a 19" wheel.

Stock fender may not Fit with a 19" wheel, Mikey.
Larger diameter tire may rub the fender on both ends.

Spyder, Actually it fits the stock fender just fine. Even a 21" will fit if you elongate the mounting holes a bit.

I have one of those fenders hanging in my barn.
It definitely requires a SKINNY front wheel & tire.
I doubt anything much more than about 3" wide would work.

I think the fender for $300 is for 130/60-19 which is what my Harley wheel is. I need to go to some swap meets I suppose.

What about using a fender designed for an HD? You could probably get one to work with some minor modifications and it'd likely be cheaper than something that's R* specific.

Here's one for $110 shipped on eBay.

Doc... I've posted warnings about Demons Cycle on the old site. I live in Pompano Fl. where they're based.
          I've dealt with them personally.
This time I'll only ask that their reviews be read. Google them.

Oooo... wonder if it would work for my 19" wheel?

        Well that's a drag Spyder...

Jay, there are a bunch of other fenders for under $150 on ebay, you just have to look through them to find one that might work for you.
Find great deals on eBay for Harley Davidson 21" Front wrap around fender. Shop with confidence.

Rather than bad mouthing them because of personal experience, I felt it better to suggest that our members research for themselves, Doc.
No sour grapes here. Just a warning about a Rotten Vine.

Spyder, Yeah, reviews are terrible, but saw some better ones more recently. That price is actually reasonable. Doc, Yes, I had looked at all of them and there are some OK deals there. but most seem to be for the larger wheel. I'm wondering if the 21" fenders would still be pretty close to the same curvature for the 19" wheel though.
