  • Dan moto 2into1 exhaust

    Any body have any opinions on this exhaust? They have a cheap price tag ,but I dont really see them any where on here or anywhere else. I think theres 1 youtube review on a r*

    I have one on one of my R*s. I actually like it, and the sound... But, since it was on my "handling" bike with 18" aluminum wheels and sport bike tires, I scrape the muffler end cap. I'm in the process of making modifications to raise and tuck the muffler in a bit. You will likely find that their muffler mount will need a bit of "engineering" to attach the muffler to it. Would I buy it again, given that choice... yes, I would! It's clearly, to me, one of the better sounding exhausts I've heard yet on a R*. Hope this helps ya.

    I don't think I've ever heard of anyone else here giving one a try.

        Inhave the Hard Krome Sideburners 2 into 1 and it sounds good....definitely different than dual pipes (i.e. longshots)

          roadiemort thats the one I was considering. Questcap It does help. 1st carb rebuild and check since I have no idea whats been done when "jetted for the pipes" lol then a exhaust.

            At 8 or 9 lbs for the whole system light gauge stainless was used and they won't be as durable over the long haul but your paying half price, so you got to ask yourself how long before you want to change them up or keeping the bike.

            If it's running fine... I'd simply say, if it ain't broke, don't fix it! Does it run well, and is the gas mileage alright? If so... I'd suggest you leave the carb alone. But, hey, that's just me.

          It is indeed light.... and of stainless. As for lasting... I don't know why they wouldn't. They certainly seem to be tough enough. I heat wrapped the header pipes in a titanium-colored fiberglass. The construction seems fine. Few welds, but of 1st class.

          I went and hung the muffler off the factory stock mount, and will now have a 1 7/8" OD pipe of 18" length bent up a bit to join the header collector to the muffler. It'll be higher, tighter, and won't be scraping anymore.

          Oh, there are O2 sensor bungs... I went to Lowe's, bought some bolts to fit, then cut them short enough to not impinge on the exhaust flow any.

              Whether a magnet sticks to it has nothing to do with where it's from you silly man but the alloy composition usually higher nickel content as in 400 series. Since I did my homework before spouting BS I can tell you that they used 304 alloy, they very well could be from China, no info on their website as to the origin of the stainless steel used. Thanks Brian for your useless misinformation as usual.

            If, I understand correctly, 304 is a better stainless than any 400 stuff... Did I get that right? I only 'learned' that because i intended to use a 304 stainless tube to connect my collector to the muffler.

              Better for what is the question, different alloys for different applications eg: 304 low carbon modification of type 302 for restriction of carbide precipitation during welding. Meanwhile 430 is low cost general purpose non hardenable Chromium stainless with a high lustre finish possible. 316 is higher corrosion resistant. That is just a few.

            Carb will not idle right, goes to high once warmed up. The coaster enricher cover is cracked. And doesnt appear to have the pms screw cover removed yet. So since it gets blow back through the carb often at idle and the pms cover is still there i figured at 28k its do for a cleaning and checking tge jets. Im assuming they didnt touch the idle jet.

              they sound pretty good in this youtube video. mellow at idle and a bark when giving it gas.

                I saw these on ebay about a week ago and was wondering if anyone was running them yet and how they sounded. I think I had a Danmoto exhaust on my SV650 and it sounded pretty good. I didn't even realize they made them for V-twins. I'm thinking these may go on my next bobber project... Now I need a bobber project.
