First, Thank You to all of you who provided knowledge and insights into the previous post on old site. I know it would have been a lot harder without the information you all provided.
I had no trouble with the gasket at all (I presume because dealer did recall about a year ago.) I replace the clutches and steels. I had ordered the Stock Yamaha kit because the bike was my only running vehicle at the time, and with over 75,000 on the clock, I wanted to just "be sure." Also did the Barnett clutch with stock springs.
All in all, this was the second easiest thing iv'e done on the bike (oil change is first.)
I would say it feels like a new bike, but never having ridden one I wouldn't know. I really like the feel of the clutch, both pull and grab. No slipping at all anymore. I'm very happy I went with the stock springs instead of the Heavy Duty I was considering. I can't ever see myself needing more.
The best part of doing this was how much more I got to learn about the bike.
Again, thanks all.
