Cleaned and oiled my air filter yesterday. Took it for a ride by Curt's house, but he wasn't home.

All the tins are wet sanded and scotch-brite pad'd and ready for paint! Hoping my painter gets to them this week so the silver leaf can get done and the tint and clear can go on after that's done.

My painter painted last night! Finally! Oh. Emm. Gee. Loving the color!

PPG Hellfire is the name of the color I went 2 coats darker (5 total) on the red tinted clear over the gold basecoat. The candy effect is badass! those pics are with 2 coats of clear. Next is color sanding and then some silver leaf and pinstriping and then a couple more coats of clear.

I can't hardly wait to see what this looks like in the sun!

            Tank - PPG Hellfire paint
            fenders - PPG Hellfire
            side cover - PPG Hellfire

I ordered a black wall rear tire to get rid of the whitewall. Then it will match the new enforcer front wheel I'm putting on.

ID:	12925 ack. Mounted the stock sissybar brackets in reverse, cut the ends off a short sissybar at the appropriate angle, welded 10mm - 1.5 nuts into the cut ends, cut a base using 1/2” MDO plywood 12”x18” and painted black, bolted four “cold shut” brackets (one at each corner), bolted one 1” strap bracket to the front center and bolted the MDO base to the modified sissybar ends. The “D” rings on the bag hook onto the four cold shut brackets and a single 1” strap attaches to the 1” strap bracket. Can’t wait to go on an over nighter!

On my bike or any bike? Installed oil pump driven gear. Adjusted neck bearings. Fitted swing arm. Fitted lower fender/mud guard. Pulled motor and tranny Oh! just on the bikes, skip that motor and tranny.

Earlier in the week I test fitted my stretched bags on bob1964’s bike which had the dc brackets already installed. Bags fit way better than expected, ordered myself some dc brackets and removed the softail brackets I was fiddling with.Took of the big touring and installed an ultimate seat. Sat on it in garage and made bike noises. Haven’t been on a ride yet, but I think I will prefer the ultimate seat.

Temps in Wisconsin were around 40f this morning so I rode 'the pretty bike' to work.
I should make it home before the thunderstorms hit tonight.

While I'm waiting on my dchopper brackets I've stripped down a few parts I wasnt completely happy with to repaint drained the oil for a change packed steering bearings cleaned air filter now in in process of pulling the clutch for new race plates and doubles spring
I have accepted once I started on a path of customization my bike will never actually be "finished" I'm ok with that

Bought the E.D. Passenger seat Mike had on sale, Wompus Rack and trunk is installed. Got the color matched paint waiting in the shed so now just waiting for decent weather so we can paint the trunk to match my bike. C'mon SUNSHINE. I am SO over this "105th day of January" weather.
