left at 1:00 this afternoon, at a hotel now. I still have about 1 - 1.5 hours to go. then I have to score a u-haul trailer before I pick it up.
Original owner 2700 miles. can't believe that I am driving this far to get a bike or that I hit a buy-it-now on something that cost this much without seeing / riding it first. Guess i'll get to meet my new baby tomorrow afternoon.
It is the chieftain that LDofDC put a link to in my other thread "sold my HD"

this bike just spoke to me when I saw it

Way to go cike! That is one sweet ride and I really like chrome bag guards, it really finishes off the look. That's a $410 option... Quite a few other options too. Congrtaz bud you scored big! ...And way to come through Lyndon.

thanks for posting the pic. it also has 2700 miles, a quick detach backrest, stage one pipes (shouldn't be too loud) and the rear crash bars, love the saddle bag guards too. I'm not sure about the chrome caliper covers on the front fender though.
you guys think Road Star shit is expensive this guy paid

                  Rear luggage rack $229.99
                  Quick release sissy bar $449.99
                  Backrest pad $249.99
                  Rear highway bars $299.99
                  Bike cover $159.99
                  Stage 1 exhaust kit $699.99
                  Six shooter exhaust tips $299.99
                  Saddle bag protector rails $399.99
                  Pinnacle caliper covers $149.99
                  Pinnacle fender tip accents $139.99
                  Total $3,079.90

add up that backrest with luggage rack and it is $900 and these are 2014 prices

You can go on the Indian web site and pretty much rebuild this exact bike. ...If only to see what the MSRP is new.. May help convince the boss it was a good buy.

I tell ya Doc, i was nervous as hell about hitting that buy-it-now button. My wife is the one that basically talked me into it. She kept telling me it was a good deal, If it was close to home I would have jumped immediately, but i'll have another $400-500 or so wrapped up in it due to the cost of picking it up plus 22 hours of drive time.
The final thought was that after I get it home I will have one of the first 1901 indian Chieftains built (actually #1368) and almost every mile put on it (except the first 2700) will be from me. I think the pride from that will be worth the trip, although the drive sucks right now. Doesn't hurt that the bike cost $12,500 vs $25,000 for a new one

Sorry man, I couldn't help myself. That exact bike, brand new with all the same accessories, would run you $29,108.99, so you saved $16,608.99. But your cover actually looks better than the one they offer now, so it may be a little more. You done good cike...
