It won't lift the seat just reduces the sag.

I know, but its still consider a lift when you fix the sag. Ask any woman.

I can feel the difference in position when I crank the preload all the way up, but then my seat is seriously low, so maybe it's a little more noticable. But I quickly get used to it.

Bertha looks good skinny. Maybe I put her on a diet and call her Beth.

While waiting for her new rear shock, Bertha got a tramp stamp. Artist miss aligned the bottom half. Must have been stoned. LOL.

Finialy ordered my racetech springs. Parts manager at Motopia of San Rafael Ca says she can get them to me by friday! Bertha gets her new suspension this weekend. Monday is supposed to be dry. Hope i get that test ride in!

ID:	58971 So the Roadwing showed up yesterday. Thanks Smokescreen! And the front Race Technsprings showed up today. Went with the .90kg/mm rate. Depending on the way I answered the race tech questions and wieght it said to use any tthing fron .86 to.88. So I hope the .90 are not to stiff. Finish install tomorrow and hopefully ride on Sunday.

I'm following your story with great interest Joe. I got my roadwing but have not been able to install it yet but when I do I was planning on doing the same thing as you and replacing the front springs with racetech units as well. I'm very interested in hearing your review of "before and after" the install of the new gear. Post some pics along the way if you can.

Will do. Headed out to find fork oil then. Install today. I see sun light and no rain out my bedroom window right now. Should be a good day.

Yes I too am following this with great interest. Hoping that maybe next year I'll be doing the same thing.

It's a must. It will literally transform your R* with the added bonus of more comfort and MUCH better handling, which is always big in my book, because not only is it more fun, but it's much more safe too.

ID:	59096 So I got Berthas rearend all buttoned up and back together. Mounted the RAP under the passenger side passenger floor board. I used the front floor board mounting bolt. Just got a longer bolt and then out the RAP mount behind the frame and over the longer bolt then put a nut on the back side.

That's a good spot; you can reach down and dial it in while riding.

I didn’t know where I was going to put the RAP yet, figured I’d cross that bridge when I came to it. Where did everyone else put their RAP unit?

With the length of the hydraulic tubing between the shock and the rap kinda of decided where it wiould go. Im going to paint the adjustment knob red. It kinda sticks out so the floorboard hides that nicely and kind protects it.

Didn’t really smell just. Bertha only was 12000 and some change. Input 4,000 on her myself. I know what you mean on the 70’s era car.
