  • There's still quality companies out there

I wanted to give a huge thumbs up to the Saddlemen company.

I bought a used Saddlemen seat off Craigslist about two years ago for $80, loved the thing. It was obviously of older vintage, but in great shape. After a couple of years of use it developed a couple of small cracks in between the stitching (pic) no biggie but annoying.

Called Saddlemen and asked if they recover, the sales person (good guy) says sure $125. Made a deal with him that I would buy an $80 backrest bag, and he would cover all shipping. Done, sent the seat out to them right away

About 2 weeks later I see a charge on my card for $80. I'm thinking something's wrong since they didn't charge me for the seat recover.
Call the sales guy. He says that when he got the seat, he just decided to cover it under their lifetime warranty and sent me out a brand new seat (pic). I'm like, are you freaking kidding me ??? I dont think I've ever had anything covered that easy under any warranty. I think the thing retails for about $250 or there abouts. Got the seat about 3 days later, and man... it's like laying on a new bed.

All I know is, I will definitely be purchasing my seats from now on through Saddlemen, they won my business. Just thought I'd share this with everyone just in case your ever in the market.

I would have been shocked too. Seldom do you find service like that anymore.

It's always good to hear these kind of stories. So many horror stories of companies that just don't care that much. Hats off to Saddlemen.

In a world where companies *literally* try to figure how many customers they can screw, before it effects their bottom line, that is reassuring. I'll definitely be keeping it in mind for the future.

                I love my Saddlemen Renegade!
It's an older one and is developing little cracks like yours.
Maybe I'll ask them about a recover ...

The guy who helped me was Isaiah. Good guy. If you do call tell him that Rob posted his experience on the Clinic, he'll know who I am.

Okay I know this is going to cause a stir but on that same token we need to be good to the people that provide services. Not just the mail order ones, to all people that provide the services . All too often were are either in a hurry or impatient or pissed off at something else . Or we have to have that part by Tuesday. You should see the look somebody's face when I say ,hey no big hurry on that. And then I usually add good service doesn't always happen quickly. I'm not trying to preach to all you guys and gals.,but act like the person is your daughter or son treat them as a Christian would. You would be really surprised other results. Some of you would say Amen and that's good
