ID:	42780 Would anyone know if a Warrior front wheel will work on our Road Stars? I have a matching rear wheel that will need some mods to make work on a bike build I'm doing. If the front wheel is going to take a lot of mods, I'll scrap this idea. I do like the idea of running a 18" front wheel.

Well, besides the fact than anything can be made to fit anything if you throw enough money at it, I believe I have seen this done on here before. Are you building a Roadstar Cafe Racer? That's been done on here too, a guy in England has one that came out pretty cool. I have seen so many iterations of the Roadstar on here it's almost beyond belief. The only thing I haven't seen yet is a Roadstar Unicycle. If you want to be unique, do that. That way, you only have to worry about 1 wheel.

I've seen the unicycle on YouTube videos and I'd be better off getting my pilots license. Lol!

I'm planning on trying these rims out, I have a back one and would be making this basket case RS I picked up into a bobber. I don't want to purchase a front wheel if it's going to be a hard fit.
From what I've seen on this form, 18" wheels will fit the front using our fenders. If the wheel is the same width along with the rotors and it's just a axle difference, I would think different bearings would make this work.
Just seeing if anyone has information on the Warriors.

        Don't know if this helps.

Rotor bolt pattern looks the same.

Thanks Mort. I think the rotors are the same.
I'm hoping for a width on the front wheel before I purchase one.

Duke, yes the front will work. I just actually seen a Roadstar the other day with one on the front. I think it was in the "delfi" Roadstar riders group if I remember correctly. Not sure on details tho sorry

Thank you. If it bolts up, I'm going for it.

A few years ago I thought that I would try putting that same wheel on my RS, I bought one off of EBay and found it is way to skinny.

The width of the Raider wheel measuring where the rotor bolts up without the rotors installed is right at 5 inches. The RS wheels are around 7 inches.

Spacing the calipers in more than an inch on each side not only is a lot of leverage being put on the front forks under hard stopping, and looks not so good.

I guess you could put some washers between the wheel and rotor to help with spacing, also you would need wider wheel spacers

You could change your forks out for closer spaced forks.

These are just my observations, do what you want to make your bike to your liking.

Also you can have the wheel I bought just pay the shipping.

        Ride safe.
        Mike

What wheels are on your bike?
I notice the reverse image picture.

Thank you for letting us know about the Raider. If the Warrior wheel is the same width as the Raider, I won't even attempt to make it work. Any spacing over 1/4" would be to much for me. Thanks.

The yamaha Stryker wheel is a direct bolt-on also, along with stock rotor you have to drill a extra hole in your rotor. But it will work with all stock hardware . Only single side brake, but I don't have a issue with it. Works great for me. and looks better than the raider wheel "to me"

Ah yes, the infatuation with looks over stopping power, to each his own.

Sorry, I should have said the warrior wheel is 5 inches width and the Raider wheel is a is a perfect fit width wise. I have Raider wheel on my RS sig. pic.

The rotors for the Raider front wheel is a different bolt pattern that the stock RS oem front wheel.

Thank you all for the information. I'll be looking into other avenues on this build. Good to know the Raider wheel will work on our bikes.
