  • Lower wind deflectors

I recently bought an 06 Roadie with the large crash bar on it and the lowers that mount to the windshield bracket are too close and hit the bar. Does anyone know which lowers will work with the crash bar? Thanks

    This is an option.
Made of Clear Acrylic, it provides a clean look to the front of your ride. Custom design and hand made. You can order plain or a custom graphic. It's your ride, be creative! You won't believe the difference in how they lower buffeting and turbulence when traveling at highway speeds. | eBay!

That is Curt's design that Warden took over from him. Good product and Warden is good people.

You can always remove the lower material and then make a template that doesn't hit. Transfer that on to the material and cut to match. I ( and others on this forum) made my own using Lexan, a powered scroll saw with 12 teeth per inch or more and sand paper. After getting the edges as smooth as you like them, you can melt the edges using MEK. OR, you can buy a set made for our bikes and your bar like the ones in the link provided earlier.

Thanks for the help. I may try and cut out lowers. Trimming the chrome could be tricky.

i made brackets using a dog food can for a template. Transferred pattern to stainless steel. Had a local sheet metal shop bend the angles. Polished the stainless to look like chrome.

I used the Memphis Shades generic deflectors. Even when they were tight up against the turn signals they still hit the crash bars. I made a bracket and extended the whole turn signal assembly ahead 1"-1.5" and set the deflectors about 1/4" from the turn signals. It gave me about 1/4" clearance between the deflectors and crash bar too. YMMV..
