well the sv650 didn't work out, I couldn't figure out how to get it running right, Actually ended up getting the bike to run worse than it did before I started fixing it LOL. I sold it tonight (with full disclosure of the issues).
So now it's back to looking for the next bike.. can't wait to see what I end up with next.

most of it. I keep a separate account that I keep my bike money in to buy sell and trade with. But I lost a couple hundred on this last deal by the time it was all said and done.... Guess I can't win them all

I wonder what the mileage was on that 2001? Stated it had a new clutch.

I was looking at that the other day. but if I go with another RS it will probably be another cheap bike bobber project. Kinda wish I had kept the last one

Why not another SV650? You never even got to enjoy that jewel of a machine.

True. I only got to put a couple hundred miles on the last one. It was a lot of fun to ride, but my 50 year old knees didn't care so much for it after about 30-40 minutes..... i'm wondering if a FJR1300 would be the same way

I hear you. I road an FZ09 a couple years back, AMAZING bike, but after about 40 mins my knees were taking to me. Sadly the FZ07 is pretty much the same and they're both more relaxed seating than most sport bikes. Getting old sucks.

Fz-07! Loved mine? But i eas going to get into to much trouble on it.

If I found a good enough deal on a, FZ-07, FZ-09, FZ-1, or FZ-8 I would quite probably buy it. Last year I found 2 really low millage FZ8"s for $3000 each, but I ended up buying a VTX1300...

Love the looks of the monsters. I checked them out some, but man Ducati makes some noisy bikes. plus it sounds like they are also high maintenance (along with BMW) ... I think I have ruled out Ducati, and BMW

The SV650 hurt my knees, I can't imagine how my 50 year old body would handle a grom.

I found a 03 super glide that has 3500 miles on it, but a dent in the gas tank. Priced very right. I've texted the guy back and forth a couple times about it, but haven't been able to nail down a time when we can get together to see it.
I have my fingers crossed, as I have some cool ideas for something like this. But I also know he has another guy looking at it as well.
something similar to these would be cool

Sporties are a LOT of fun and they make great noise and they have a surprisingly comfortable riding portion too. Kind of hard to go wrong with them, but they're a little too similar to the R* for me. Plus I've had one before.

I've always thought a Warrior, M109R or Vrod would be cool.

not a fan of the M109R although I did love the c90 I used to have. I could go for a warrior... maybe a vrod too (still not real sure about if I like them"

maybe if I could find one in this price range I might consider it, The older style Concours can be found cheap, but only because they were so freakin ugly nobody wanted to be seen on one. The newer ones really stepped up the image on them a lot!

If you want comfortable riding position AND amazing handing, on a budget, what about a Supermoto conversion?

Doc, that looks like a ton of fun. I really envy you guys that have curves around where you live. We have a couple here and there, but mostly flat straight roads. If I ride abut an hour I can get to some decent curves.... One of these days i'm going to ride to northern Cali just to show up at your door and make you take me for a ride.

The guy on the super glide never called me back about a time to come look at it. Today a guy at work was asking me about my Electra glide, and is pretty sure he want to buy it. So if all the stars align right soon I may be able to afford the bike that I have been wanting since 2014. Fingers crossed.
So for right now I am not buying anything until I see if it he buys it, if he does my bike money gets added to it, and I get to start shopping for my dream bike

Moto Guzzi 1200 sport I rode one and loved it, mainly because it was different, really liked how it torqued over to the right side when you revved it up, I didn't act quick enough and it was gone.

You are looking for a Yamaha V Star. Lighter weight, and more fun that the big heavy Roadstar. Try one.
