  • Using Rock River Powersports

I've been purchasing parts for our Road Stars for over 20 years, and have found that Rock River Powersports have been the best in dealing with OEM parts. Not only with the professional help that they provide, but on the pricing for the parts and shipping.

Around the first of March, I was completely rebuilding a couple of RS engines and needing seals. Calling Rock River, Tom checked on their part stock, showing that they were out of the seal I was needing, but he did a check throughout the dealers in the USA. He told me that the dealer in Las Vegas was showing that they had one in stock, and he gave the number to call. Calling that dealer, the sales person said that they had one showing in the computer but he would pull it from the shelf to make sure they had it. He came back from checking and said he did not see one but would order one for me. I thanked him for checking, and decided to check other vendors.
Checking several venders, Partzilla was showing 2 in stock. I called them to send me that seal and asked the salesperson to please make sure they have it in hand and mail it that day. The salesman confirmed that they had it in hand and would mail that day. So I placed the order.
About 3 days later, I received a notice that it was on order and would be shipped out the end of March. It pissed me off that they mislead me, so I cancelled that order after ordering the seal thru Rock River. Tom was great and said he would call me as soon as the part was on it's way to me. Approximately the next week it was coming to me and cut me a deal with the price and shipping being a member of the RS clinic.
I saved over 30% using Rock River and I highly recommend them for our parts supplier. Not only is Rock River Powersports a good source for our parts, they are our sponsor for roadstarclinic. Thank you.

Duke, glad to see you post this. It seems it's often overlooked that they sponsor this site and keep the lights on here, which I'm very grateful for.

I too recently ordered from Rock River. As you said, Tom was very helpful and upfront about what they had, what they could get, and alternatives if I needed something sooner. Can't ask for any better than that. While they don't have an online store that's as easy to navigate for parts as some, they do have a parts request form you can submit and they'll get back to your with prices.

In the end the part was cheaper than one of the other sites where I looked up the part number. So I too encourage our members here to support Rock River with your OEM part needs.

It's good to let them know that your a member of this forum so that you'll receive a discount.

I have used them 3 times. Always had what i needed. Had a little issue with a girl who answered the phone one time, aside from that it's been a positive experience.

You're not the 1st one to mention that to us. She no longer works here.

Duke, Its funny you said that because on there parts request, it has a space for additional comments and so I put in there that I am a roadstarclinic member.

PZ is on a downhill slide since they went automated??? the people try to help, but the SYSTEM SUCKS. i tried a new way, i went to my local kawi delaer, and the part was 5 dollars cheaper, be in in 4 days, and they only charge 1 dollar for shipping. i was using PZ , but one would think it would go from FL to GA quick, but no. i tried and ebay dealer in Dania Fl, 200 miles away, took them 2 days to put a stamp on an envelope and post it. took 5 full days from 200 miles, so that was an experiment, and they failed. probably a typical bike shop and they dont tell u theyre closed mondays, so add a day. ill give em a try
