Throttle screw/ Idle cotnrol

Trying to find a way to relocate the throttle adjustment screw that is under the air filter. That is one of the only things I really dislike about this bike. Any of you cats have a suggestion or possible site to find a kit itself?

Are you talking about the pilot mixture screw under the car, or are you talking about the idle adjustment knob?

Really no reason to mess with the idle other than to set it at a warm idle of 900 RPM and then leave it to hell alone lol. You should not have to be messing with that on a regular basis at all for any reason.

The idle adjustment knob. I agree, I'm not sure why it is there. If you can tune a carb correctly, then you should never need that. I would think. The Road Star world is new to me. My S and S carbs on other bikes, you set the carb and leave it alone.

Lol, it i there because with the stock air filter cover in place it is nearly invisible.

Thunderbike in Germany makes this very nice and simple bracket.

Here's mine. I put a billet knob on it to dress it up a little. I think it looks OK where it is.

Thanks fellas. Pobasturd, is that just the same type of cover a choke knob uses? I actually think the idle adjustment set is okay where it's at if I can maybe dress it up a little.

I believe I found it on J&P Cycles was only around $10, but that was 5 years ago. Good luck.

i cut mine down, and it hangs straight down just off cylinder
