  • National Motorcycle Museum to close

I saw this on Facebook but nothing here so thought I'd post it. The National Motorcycle Museum in Anamosa IA is set to close ~Sept 5th. It's founded by the man who started J&P cycles. I've been to the building but not inside the museum yet. I plan to make a trek there this summer. Looks like they're going to keep the doors open so those traveling through to Sturgis can stop.

It's kinda out of my way, but when the weather warms up, I want to go look while it's still open.

I'm about a 45 minute ride south of there. I'm going to make it a point to go before it closes. It's too bad attendance is down forcing this.

I had a buddy who died because of the recent plandemic. Any way he is laid to rest in Iowa. I was still down with my knee when it happened and I missed his funeral. I plan on riding up and visiting as soon as the weather warms a litte, maybe April.

Sorry to see this. Been through Iowa a few times and it never entered my mind to look it up or I would have stopped in. But this was way off the Interstate so it would have had to be a destination rather than just a side-stop. I forgot to look up 'American Pickers' HQ as well, and only thought about it after we'd left the state. I'm just not a very good tourist; too mission-focused while traveling on business.

Too bad they can't just move it south, alongside I-80 where it would have gotten tons of exposure. Likely would have made the difference.

Cool place. Might have to head back just to see this gem before it's disassembled.

Wow, if watching this video doesn't get your blood pumping, then you ain't got 'motorcycle' in your veins!

The National Motorcycle Museum was founded in 1989 by people who love motorcycling and it thrives today because of their sound plan. Engineers, racers, bike ...
