Hello everyone,
Over the weekend MikeyC went to the hospital and underwent emergency surgery…..Shores, Jaybo and myself have been in contact with his wife Janetta and she and Mike told us it was okay to post this today.
Today has been some improvement, they were able to remove the IV, he was able to get up and take a few steps. He is on medication that makes him a little dizzy so reading is a little hard for him at the moment and he isn’t eating much yet. I don’t want go into to much about what he had done I’ll leave that up to Mikey to share when he feels up to it.
We are just asking everyone to keep Mike, Janetta and their family in your thoughts and prayers. He has a long road ahead him to get better but he is making baby steps towards it.
Mike and Janetta have been integral in NW Starfest and have helped so many here on the clinic. On more than one occasion he has been willing to help myself at a moments notice, from willing to grab a trailer and come get me when my bike tire failed 2 hrs away. Willing to let me borrow one of his bikes to go on a trip after my motor let go last year. Then after I rolled my truck offering to use his to go to NM to work on my bike with Duke. I’m sure there are others on here that have seen, felt and been apart of his generosity and friendship with stories and memories of their own. So please share your your well wishes and good thoughts for Mike and the Family.
Mike and Janetta you and the family are in my prayers and if anything is needed I’m a phone call away.
***UPDATE***
So the last couple of days Mike has shown some improvement. He’s gone from only being able to take a couple steps to yesterday making it 8 steps to today 25ft. Not being able eat really, like a couple of bites of Jello to being able to get a whole popsicle down today even though he said it wore him out eating it. He is up and out of bed able to be in a recliner and he is improving daily by baby steps which is good progress. So keep up the positive thoughts and prayers they are working. I will posts updates until Mike is able to post his own. Thanks Everyone.
