Model designation question

I’m curious to learn what letters and designations mean what throughout roadstar production. I believe mine is an XV1700ATM but Im not sure on the “ATM”. I believe M is for Midnight? What does the A and T signify, and are there other callouts throughout the production years?

This comes from my being in car sales in the past and loving the order guides and option codes. Any sales material from 2005 would be greatly appreciated if there’s anything floating around out there.

I think the T had to do with designating the Touring model with (hard?) saddle bags.

The M in your model number might be a code for the year.

T for Touring makes sense. I wondered what designated the hard bags

I have the 2012 XV1700 ATS Silverado S.

The 04-10 XV1700 AT Silverado doesn't have the S. and the XV1700 Road Star S isn't a Silverado

What I can find is the A or S means it's a cruiser Star, as the P is the Warrior. T makes sense as the Touring edition, but Silverado is what makes it the Touring edition, so that's out, too:

From what I can tell from this link, the standard Roadstar 1700 is XV17AT. The Roadstar Midnight is XV17AMT, Silverado is XV17ATT, Midnight Silverado is XV17ATMT. A “C” at the end designates a California model. There is also a W option that designates cast wheels on a non Midnight model.

Is yours a 1600 or 1700? I wonder if model year had something to do with it. Could be related to paint scheme maybe like Monotone or two tone
