  • Trunk issue

We made a trunk mount following measurements from the original sissy bar and designs from other posts/pictures we had seen. My trunk came in today and I didn’t realize that the trunk bottoms are not flat. Does anyone have a solution or suggestion?

Use some spacers or small metal straps to span any Gap that you may have.

Yea that is what me and the guys are thinking as well

Without knowing the irregularities of the bottom of the trunk, you could also install some sort of plastic, wood or metal filler to take up the space. I'm not talking about a liquid filler but just a larger piece of material to fill up the gap essentially just a large spacer.

Yeah for sure. I can’t be the only guy that ran into this issue. It’s the same dimensions as the Adam’s rack. I figured the bottoms were all flat

It’s a razor tour pack from eBay

I ordered one of these for mine.....had to trim it down by cutting the width but worked out I think I even had to drill a couple of holes to mount but pretty simple.

I used an oscillating cutter and cut the ribs off flush with bottom. Then laid new fiberglass on outside and inside. Painted. Full support on the bottom now. If anyone is interested I have it for sale. Bandwidth restrictions so no pics here. Send me your email.

I have Adam's rack and an HD elctra classic tourpack and it's big enough it's mostly flat clear across. 4 bolts with washers and nuts and it's very secure.

Thanks everyone for the suggestions and input. I used 3D printed ABS spacers and it worked out good. My saddle bags open as well which I hadn’t thought about. Went out for a ride and wife loves it so it’s a win
