  • New to me Liner ready to test ride (except ice and snow lol)

    2007 Roadliner
Ivan's reflash, Cobra Longshots, K&N with air box lid removed
    Mustang wide solo rider seat
Star accessories fender rack, Crash bar, Passing lights bar

Just got done doing compete clutch assembly with EBC spring, oil and filter, transfer case oil, spark plugs, cleaned IAC, brake fluid and EBC HH pads, passed flop check, wheel bearings steering head bearing and swing arm bearings check out good, belt alignment checked and tension adjusted, came with year old Avon Cobra Chrome tires and new battery with tender hookup

Removed backrest, windshield, got bag rails for hard leather bags (will install bags after cleaning/polishing), removed stock seats... Going for fast solo bagger type ride....

Only test rode for 10 min with broken clutch So I can't tell much.. But it handles nicer and is longed/wider feeling yet more nimble. Should be fast as hell... Stock they are 100 hp/124 torque at the motor.. This should be a little over 100hp to the tire and lots of torque with all the mods and don't weigh more than a Road Star.

Snow/ice here now and next week Temps in teens/twenties so that sucks.

Putting DC chopper brackets on my purple Road Star and having bags and tour pack repainted (color was a little off)

Trimming inner fender brace and putting lowering kit back on white bike to get it looking correct (180 tire just a little snug)

Maybe doing a 40 shot on Vmax... Maybe..

I love that 1900cc engine. Rode a Raider and the new Venture TC. I think the rev limiter on the Venture was around 4250, what would it be on the Roadliner?

I used to think that but these motors run $1500-1800 used...i bought my whole roadliner for $2000...typically you can get one for $4500...has aluminum frame, weighs about the same as a Road Star.. No reason to mess with a swap. The electronics, fuel Inection, wiring harness etc would be a pain...

Better off selling road star and buying a liner for sure instead of spending $ on a swap or really even building a 108/110 cube road star motor. I'm betting my liner will put down as much or more than any built big bore NA road star made and a whole lot cheaper and no degradation in reliability/longevity.

I won't get rid of my white solo road star ever.... I like the simple look... Love the old school carb motor...

I might consider eventually selling purple road star set up for touring AND blue roadliner and then get a 2014 red Stratoliner Deluxe and make that my long distance tourer

Yeah my long term goal is likely a Indian Darkhorse I like technology and it would be an awesome 2 up bike. It would allow me to make the RS a solo bike too.

Road Stars look best as solo cruisers IMHO for sure

Ordered a Barons laydown license plate and I decided to reinstall windshield (it's a quick release so easy on/off)...

Getting good stainless hardware to put hard leather bags/rails on.... Got Mustang seat on now but have an Ultimate seat set to try out... And got LED headlight bulb to cram in the stock housing

I'm planning taking a week trip somewhere south of me.... KY... TN... Etc and check out the areas.... Need a cheapie little vacation home with a garage for a bike and a car. I'm only working 185 days a year and can spend 1 week, 2 weeks, and 10 weeks stretch in a warmer place... Until I retire then spend 4 months of the year.... So might as well start looking now
