biggest tire on stock rim

Got to get a new front tire and was wondering if i can go with a larger tire without changing/modifying fenders or anything?

150 seems to be the biggest and not a great idea but people do it

I've used a stock rear tire on the front for well over 100,000 miles with no adverse effect and about 30,000 on each one before replacing. It often starts to get wear ridges after about 15,000 miles, so I pull the wheel off and reverse it and all is well.

I've been running a 160 forever, no handling issues, wear is normal.

Warden stuffed a 200 on the rear of his red bobber & while it fit, he had to grind the rear brake boss to prevent the sidewall from rubbing.
When you stick a 200 tire on a 150 rim it pinches the bead in so far that the tire is deformed to where you really don't see much of a difference in actual width unless you have two bikes next to each other to compare to stock size tires.
You do get to brag about running a 200 while you fight harder to get the tire mounted on the wheel, then mess with eliminating contact points - and pay extra for the privilege of doing so.
