i am planning a major teardown on my bike this winter alot of South florida salt damage to bike(oxidation) that i want to strip and powdercoat, will be doing a new exhaust as well and carb rebuild, just wanted to see if i really needed to let go of all that money for a bigger carb or not. thank you for the response.

Jetted stock 40 Mikunicarb will handle a stock cube bike with all supporting mods. People move up to HSR 42 or 45 WHEN DOING BIG BORE (108 OR 110 cube and cams/headwork). Apparently people like the increased driveability and throttle response of the HSR

It's the coaster enricher. It's already blocked by the crap original plastic cover. These just replace them but last forever.

It's an aluminum piece that replaces the plastic piece that gets brittle and cracks from heat and age (and therefore fails). The cover holds a spring and diaphragm in place and when the stock plastic piece develops a crack it causes an air leak and poor running/performance.

OK.........My new aluminum enricher cover arrived on Friday I waited till this morning to tackle it before NFL began as it was said to be an easy install w/o removing the carbs which was a sigh of relief for me. Removed my air box, verified phillips screws and got my smallest collection of phillips drivers I own. Then guess what I learned as most of you probably know, no way could one work So I paused a minute, pulled my small thin needle nose vise grips and one of my small needle nose pliers out of my tool chest and crossed my fingers. Sure enough I cracked he screws with the vise grips and unscrewed them slowly with my fat fingers. I then install the aluminum one replacing the screws w/o hassle and I gave a sigh of relief. THEN I see the spring on top of my bucket lid I used as a parts table I thought f**kn really ! I take a couple of deep breaths, unscrew the cover, put the spring in and after a couple of breaks in-between get it back on Tell ya, my Lowe's vise grips and Harbor Freight tiny plier set saved my day. Now I'm having a bowl of my menudo, watching the Boys get stomped by the Falcons and breathing a sigh for a job done
