Wouldn't these work on my R rear on the OE peg mounts? They are for a 650.

They don't fold up out of the way when not in use either, that alone would be a deal breaker for me even if I could MacGyver them on.

It looks as if they would fold just like my OE pegs fold? AND I thought the OE boards and brackets were no longer available?

roadiemort, I'm curious, why wouldn't they fold up? Isn't that why there is an edge removed near where the pin goes through? I presumed that would mimic the standard peg design.

It looks to have the same shape as the OE peg where it pins to the bracket on the frame. Though to me in the picture shows to be installed upside down. On the OE peg it looks like the rubber on the peg is what holds the OE peg up against the square bracket. It takes some force to move it up and down compressing the rubber. What if you stacked about seven ( just a guess ) 700X23 bicycle tubes cut to say 1/8 inch wide bands around the appropriate spot on the floorboard adapter? PLUS that adapter can have the angle changed on it. I really like that!

Now that I'm sober I decided to wait on that project!

I put some aftermarket floorboards in place of pegs and my V-Star 650 sidecar and they're pretty shity they do the job but nowhere near as nice as I am. I could simply not find OEM floorboards for the V-Star 650

When i bought my Roadie it had rear floorboards on it but my passenger found the her feet would slide forward when braking. Changed them to pegs.

My wife said she felt like her feet would slide forward also. But then she said she tried to force them to and they didn't. I wish there was a way to angle them up in the front.

I just bought a set against "her" better judgement. I hope it doesn't backfire. EDIT: I meant to say a set of OE used in great shape.

I got them and they're on. I warily asked her to try them ( after I did and liked them ) and she liked them. Life is good and it's the end of a long story, another one.

You can also swap just the brackets from left to right so that the boards end up down and forward rather than up and back.

Yes, I looked at them both ways and went with down and forward.

Hard to beat OEM parts... I've tried a couple times and backfired most every time!

Last year during a "bike night" at the local Harley shop, I saw a Harley with those on there for the passenger. I'd love to fab something up like that as well. I know the wife would enjoy them.
