Must have been one heck of a pothole. I hope the teeth were dentures.

Nope Mort, but thanks for the tip..They are a trim button type thingy that is chromed and as far as I know only offered by Yamaha specifically for dressing up the holes left in the fender when you go solo..which I have been for most of my life...they had a couple of small O rings that held them in and I suspect that the rubber died.

A good hardware or auto store will have plastic black ones in various sizes.

Good thought! They would work but the head on them is not large enough to cover the scratches.......

Yep that is them! thanks for posting...I have to say they worked well for a long time and if I had put new O rings on it it would probably still be in the hole..

8mm and 6mm holes for the seat, are the plugs same size to fit both?

It's been so long since I put them in I honestly don't remember if the stems were different or not. I know the buttons are all the same diameter..

I have one of the bigger size (8mm?) I can send you. If that is the one you need, PM me your address and I’ll send it off to you.

I knew there had to be something like this. I removed the passenger seat(mustang) and the fender has all kinds of holes i need to plug.

Probably a good idea to hit up napa. Any idea on the thread pitch or anything for these?

Ya i noticed that they're not threaded, but i highly doubt ill find any of those laying around where I live, so I was thinking of throwing a bolt in.

This reminds me of a joke...Why should you never lend your bike or your woman to your buddy? "Cause either one's likely to get a rod thrown in 'em.
