Good job, now for some reviews. Get some miles on her and tell us how you like it.

Well, the operation was a success. 4 1/2 hours, 1 1/2 hours of which was spent removing the old gasket. I bought a bag of Roblox for this job but couldn't find them when it came time to need them. I also elected to leave the front side cover off, I like the way it looks without it. Everything went back together smoothly, no clutch adjustment was needed. Thanks again to all who helped.

I have read countless times that this was a good fix. It seems only now that I decided to do it, the naysayers come out. I know it's only a $50 difference to do the Barnett, but $50 is a lot of money to a guy who makes $1060 a month. To get the parts I have now I have been buying a little here and there for 6 months now. Plus an oil change along with it. Thanks to all who helped me with info.

Thanks for the offer but I have a gasket. Got the Roloc's too and a shaft seal.

Super helpful tutorial linked in this thread by Tykes_Place as well:

I just did this a few months ago. I also replaced the clutch and friction plates. Both needed it, especially the friction plates. 60k miles. The hardest part was replacing the ring set after the first clutch and friction discs go on. A set of picks were essential for this.

green roloc disks were amazing. Made quick work of the gasket.

when I pulled my shift shaft the dust cover was destroyed. You may want to order ahead of time. Number 13 on the parts diagram here:

I have a gasket if you need one.

    good luck!

I did an EBC and it only lasted about 5K. Don’t waste your time. Get a Barnett.

Or do like Erbman (Neil) did and double up the new with the old. Venture guys did the same.https://www.youtube.com/results?sear...h+installation

IMO, if you open that up and don't put the Barnett kit in, you are wasting your time. Make sure you have a new cover gasket!

    Clutch spring time

58K miles and starting to get a little slippage so I have been gathering up parts and I'm ready. Got my buddy from Texas riding up on the 25th to help me out. I have been searching Facebook, I understand there's a clutch job video, but I can't find it. Anybody know how I can find it? I'm just replacing the diaphragm spring with an EBC one and doing an oil change. Thanks.
